![]() ![]() Building the Spy Pengling The Spy Pengling requires 2 Titanium, a Wiring Kit, 1 Silicone Rubber, and a Battery to construct. *** Spoiler - click to reveal *** The wrecked Spy Pengling is next to your sister's bedroom. (There is also another one outside on your way in, but its location is harder to describe due to fewer landmarks.) ![]() Use the Scanner on it to obtain the blueprint. You will find a wrecked Spy Pengling on one of the tables inside the Phi Robotics Center (next to the bedroom of someone important to your character, more details in the spoiler below). Keep an eye out for the eyeball jellyfish and you're in the right area. Or you can head roughly west-southwest from the Drop Pod - a HUD beacon for the Phi Robotics Center should appear when you get close. You will find a map indicating the center's location at the Delta Station Outpost, as directed by the story. Finding the Spy Pengling Blueprint You can find the Spy Pengling blueprint by using the Scanner at the Phi Robotics Center. Titanium can be found in many places, often in rock outcrops (any of them) or by scanning a fragment for a device you already have the blueprint for. Ribbon Plants can be found in caves in similar areas. Copper Ore can be found in Limestone Outcrops on the sea floor (particularly in caves) around your Drop Pod and many other close-to-the-surface areas. ![]() The battery can be crafted at the Fabricator from 2 Ribbon Plants and a Copper Ore. Making the Scanner The scanner requires a Battery and 1 Titanium. This guide describes the absolute essentials for building the Spy Pengling, but there are other intermediary tools and equipment that may significantly help you on your way in between each step. I can take a screen shot if you want! I'm just trying to help you out without spoilers. To construct a Spy Pengling, you must first have a Scanner tool, which you will acquire the blueprint for when you interact with the Fabricator on your Drop Pod, shortly after the beginning of the game. The tech site pengling hole with PDA iirc is "higher up" and the hole you're looking for is on "ground" level above the sealevel a bit. If you're finding a Spy Pengling hole with a tech site and some PDA entries, you aren't in the right spot either way. Is that right? Are you talking about the cave that's "hidden" like a crack in the wall, when you come around from Phi Robotics lab and take "right" turns, you come across a cave you can walk in with a PDA. If I'm understanding you correctly, all I found was a PDA. I think I found the cave you're talking about. Is that right?īut no there's a McGuffin in there. Originally posted by dragonbornzyra:The way I found the cave you're talking about naturally:īut no there's a McGuffin in there. I had knowingly passed it many times expecting just more of the usual useless Quartz loot. I was actually surprised about the significance of that cave. I could give you another set of directions that may lead you right to it faster and easier, but that's the way and the path I took to find it. It's easier to see it at night, but it's right in front of you ahead about 100-120 meters ahead. If you are in this cave, and "leaving" the Frozen Forest area and heading to the bay area, when you exist the cave, directly ahead is a Spy Pengling tunnel and the tell-tale tech marker with a rotating red light. There is a cave by a frozen water fall that is a "short cut" passage between the Frozen Forest area and the "bay" area in the Glacial basin with Snowstalker caves and a Pengling colony. That area also has the Phi Excavation site. In the Glacial Basin there's an area with a "forest" of purple ice trees. The way I found the cave you're talking about naturally: ![]()
